I am filled with anxiety at how Donald Trump's proposed policies could impact the health and well-being of our community.

If the upcoming White House Administration carries on with proposed changes to healthcare, immigration, judicial, and other federal policies, we expect a surge of people seeking support and guidance from our programs and staff--which are already at capacity.

My heart is heavy today as I struggle to comprehend the election of Donald Trump as president of the United States and the impact this will have on our communities.

For me, and for many of us, this election was deeply personal. Beyond the impact on national policy on important issues like healthcare and reproductive rights, judicial appointments, enforcement and advancement of civil rights, trade agreements, and immigration, this election feels like a referendum on the values that we hold dearest: basic human dignity, equality, fairness, and respect.
