| Donate now
Make a gift in any amount and become a Center member today. This option is good for one-time, sustaining, honor or memorial gifts. The Center depends on donations from generous individuals like you to continue to strengthen and build our community.
Join Center's First 50 Sustainer Club
The Center's First 50 Club is an easy, monthly pledge program that allows you to stay within your budget, while making an investment in building community, creating opportunities and securing LGBT civil rights. Have your name listed in the Center's annual report and website. Plus, have your donation matched, up to $10,000!
Join our Leadership Circle
With a gift of $1,200 or more, you become a member of our Leadership Circle of major donors. Join an extraordinary group of leaders whose generous support is the cornerstone of funding for the Center's critical work.
Make a sustainer gift
Make a huge difference with only a modest impact on your monthly budget: give in recurring monthly or quarterly installments with your credit or debit card. Select an amount that fits your budget. To cancel, simply notify Center in writing at any time. Eliminate frequent fundraising letters from Center and help us reduce our fundraising costs and environmental impact.
Make a gift through your workplace
Many employers match the gifts their employees make to nonprofit organizations. Please ask your personnel office for matching gift forms. Give through your local workplace campaign, hosted by your employer, United Way or Local Independent Charities (LIC). To make a gift please write our name, San Francisco LGBT Community Center and our EIN number, 94-3236718.
Make a gift of stock or mutual funds
If you own stock or mutual funds, it may be more tax-wise to contribute these shares than cash. This is because a gift of appreciated stock or mutual funds generally provides you a two-fold tax advantage. First, you avoid paying capital gains tax on the increase in the value of the stock or mutual funds. Second, you receive a federal income tax deduction for the full fair market value of the stock or mutual funds at the time of the gift.
Planned giving
Find out how to leave a legacy by including Center in your estate plans. Wills, trusts, retirement plans, and insurance policies are all a wonderful way to ensure that Center's community building efforts can be carried on into the future. It's a way to make your mark and leave a legacy.
Become a corporate sponsor
Make a difference by partnering with the Center as a sponsor of our many events and programs. Download our Soiree gala sponsorship form for benefit information.
Host a house party
Throw a party or organize a holiday gathering and ask that a donation be made to the Center in lieu of gifts. Contact us for tips.
Artwork purchase benefits the Center
The Center, along with the GLBT Historical Society, is grateful to be the beneficiary of a percentage of proceeds of the new photomosaic MILK by Robert Silvers. Please download information flyer for more info.
Donate your car
Thinking about selling your car, boat, motorcycle, truck, or other vehicle? Donate it to the Center instead and support the programs you love. Be spared the difficulties of selling your used vehicle and receive a charitable tax-deduction contribution on your tax return. We offer nationwide, year-round, free pick-up service through our partner Charitable Auto Resources, Inc. (CARS(TM)), a licensed, professional service that works with over 500 other charities and nonprofit organizations throughout the United States. Our driver picks up your car at your home, business or repair shop. Almost all cars are accepted--even if your car has engine trouble and/or can't pass a smog test. Same day service is available! To find out how it works call toll-free (877) 537-5277, use the vehicle donation form on our website, or email one of our Vehicle Donation Representatives.
Clean out your closet; support the Center
Do you have any blankets, clothing, arts supplies or other items in good condition you would like to get rid of? Please consider donating them to the Center's children and youth programs. Larger household goods may be donated through Community Thrift on Valencia Street; simply designate the Center as the sales proceeds beneficiary.
