Dear
Friends and Families of the Center's KidSpace,
After
careful consideration, the Center has decided to restructure
the staffing for our Children and Families Program. We
are currently seeking a part-time employee who will be
responsible for overall coordination of our Children and
Families Program. Our new Children and Family
Program Coordinator will recruit, coordinate,
and oversee childcare providers and teachers who conduct
free drop-in childcare hours in the Center's KidSpace
and lead children's classes. This re-structuring
will allow us to clearly delineate the job functions related
to childcare provision and teaching versus the functions
of administration, coordination, and communication. As
always, our goal remains providing the best quality of
care and instruction for your children. In addition, the
Center's new Children and Family Program Coordinator will
work closely with our collaborating partners and groups
(Our Family Coalition, Mamas and Papas, COLAGE) to host
whole family events and also smaller events for children
here at The Center. The position will also be responsible
for program promotion and outreach.
In
the next month, The Center will begin offering additional
childcare hours at KidSpace with our current childcare
providers. We will begin bringing in teachers to conduct
children's classes very soon!

KIDSPACE SCHEDULE
Check
back every two weeks for updates:
Please
note that during our staff transition we will sustain
a limited KidSpace operating schedule. We will be developing
a schedule every two weeks and we ask that you check back
into the Center's website or Front Desk for updates. Because
our highest use times are Saturdays we do anticipate covering
those hours currently and will be increasing hours within
the month.
