THE SF LGBT CENTER WELCOMES SPECIAL GUEST HONEY MAHOGANY

 OF RuPAUL’S DRAG RACE TO STUDIO 11

  The Center Will Celebrate its 11th Year with a Chic Discotheque Experience


SAN FRANCISCO, March 15, 2013 – On Saturday March 23rd, STUDIO 11 will welcome special guest Honey Mahogany of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 5. As the SF LGBT Center’s largest annual fundraiser, STUDIO 11 will invoke the fabulous and rebellious spirit of Studio 54 and offer guests a glamorous and chic discotheque experience. All proceeds support the Center’s vital services to those with the greatest need and cultural programs for the entire community.

San Francisco’s own Honey Mahogany is a renowned drag personality, actress and entertainer. She is the first San Francisco queen to compete in the popular Logo TV show, RuPaul’s Drag Race. Honey is working on her debut EP and recently released her first single, It’s Honey. Her resume includes theatrical productions Dirty Little Showtunes, Oprah: The Dragsical and the performance art show Work MORE!

STUDIO 11 opens at 7pm on Saturday March 23, 2013 at the San Francisco Design Center, 101 Henry Adams Street in San Francisco. Individual tickets are $125 each and can be purchased now at www.sfcenter.org/studio11.

Honey Mahogany joins an already star-studded cast of artists and entertainers on the STUDIO 11 stage, including Ambrosia Salad, Dia Dear, Alotta Boutte, Miss Rahni, Sean Dorsey Dance and more. Guests will dance to the beats of world famous DJs Bus Station John (Tubesteak Connection, Love Will Fix It), Dr. Sleep, (Dial Up, Darling Nikki), and Sergio Fedasz (Go Bang). Our host for the evening is the fierce and fabulous Ms. Tita Aida, San Francisco’s leading advocate for HIV/AIDS awareness and the Transgender and Asian/Pacific Islander communities. 

Guests will also enjoy a hosted bar and cuisine from San Francisco’s finest restaurants, as well as exciting prizes in our silent auction, including United Airline tickets to Hawaii, dinner for two at
