The Center offers opportunities for the entire LGBT community to experience art, culture, and social interaction in a stimulating environment.

The Center collaborates with community groups to fulfill our mission of giving visibility to the culture, history, and diversity of our community. Through arts, culture, and social activities, we help the community grow and flourish, connect and interact.
- The Queer Cultural Center acts with The Center to host visual art exihibits and the Center is proud to co-host The Q-Ball, the opening to the National Queer Arts Festival.
- Frameline, the San Francisco LGBT Film Festival, hosts free screenings for the community of powerful films each month.
- Hundreds of performances, films, readings, and mixers are held in The Center's Spencer Andrew Ceremonial Room every year.
- Events occur with various community groups including youth, elders, people of color, women, deaf and hard of hearing people, parents and children, newcomers to San Francisco and people with HIV.
- Recent social activities include community forums, holiday parties, and celebrations of significant social or legal victories.
