Lending Circles Credit Building Microloan Program

Rapidly build credit by participating in this innovative program to help members of the community establish or improve their credit, grow their savings and access a microloan. This is a peer-to-peer community lending tool, currently with no fee loans and no interest, where participants lend and borrow money from each other in order to build their credit, on average, 49 points over a 6 month period. Lending Circles have been used to pay down debt, rebuild credit from a bankruptcy, put a down payment on a car or establish credit to secure a home loan. The Lending Circles program is administered by the Center and managed by Mission Asset Fund.

Lending Circles were developed and piloted by Mission Asset Fund, and are being replicated with support from the Office of the Treasurer
