Americans, their families and friends. Two-Spirit refers to
the commonly shared notion among many Native American
tribes that some individuals naturally possessed and manifested
both a masculine and feminine spiritual qualities. American
society commonly identifies Two-Spirit People as Gay, Lesbian,

Francisco Gay Men's Chorus SFGMC - the world's
first openly gay men's chorus - was founded in 1978 by Jon
Sims and made its first public appearance on November 27,
1978, on the steps of San Francisco the night that Mayor George
Moscone and openly gay Supervisor Harvey Milk were assassinated.
In 1981, SFGMC embarked on its historic National Tour, which
led to the formation of more than 200 gay, lesbian, bisexual,
transgender and allied choruses worldwide. The 200+ members
of SFGMC perform in San Francisco and beyond, serving as musical
ambassadors for San Francisco's gay and allied communities.

Gender Project Youth Services. The Youth Gender
Project (YGP) is a youth/adult partnership that uses a peer-based
model to empower and support transgender, transsexual, gender-variant,
intersex, and gender-questioning youth and young adults of
all cultural, ethnic, and racial backgrounds. YGP fosters
gender and cultural diversity and equity and creates social
and institutional change through the education of all those
who work with, or make decisions about the lives of, these
