2-4 pm

Visual Arts show
Curator, Adrienne Fuzee

The grand opening art event at The Center, "Jewels in a Jewel Box", will be an exhibition showcasing leading, emerging, and unrecognized Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Bay Area artists.

Symbolized by the cross spectrum of artists selected, "Jewels in a Jewel Box" is also a unique opportunity to define a GLBT regional aesthetic, one that will appeal to all ages, genders and races.

"Jewels in a Jewel Box" will be an exciting experience; displayed throughout the new designed community center, it will be a proud representation of, and a precious contribution by, the GLBT artistic community. It will also introduce The Center as a venue for the visual arts and a contributor to the cultural life of the Bay Area.
