Host Homes orientation for prospective hosts are held every Tuesday at 6 PM and every Saturday at 1 PM at the SF LGBT Center located at 1800 Market Street.People interested in becoming hosts can attend orientation to learn more about Host Homes and the SF LGBT Center.
Orientations will be about 1.5 hours and will provide people with next steps to move forward to become a Host Homes.At the orientation, potential hosts will receive FAQ sheets, the Host-Youth Pairing Flowchart, Host application, and the Host Expectations and Responsibilities sheet.
About Host Homes:
Host Homes is a program where an unsheltered LGBTQ young adult (ages 18-24) chooses a home with a San Francisco based community members to reduce the impact of homelessness on a personal level.
Hosts open their home to provide youth a private space (with access to a kitchen and bathroom) for three months to one year, while youth receive wrap-around supportive services from case managers.
