Jane Natoli

"Jane has been a great asset to the Center throughout this renovation. In her position as an Information & Referral Specialist, she continues to connect community members to resources and in recent months has been providing volunteer support for various events, such as Transgender Day of Visibility, as well as working with our Director of Communications to support our social media efforts. It is truly a pleasure working with Jane and I am incredibly happy to have her on our team. ”- Felipe Flores, Community Programs Specialist

Interview with Volunteer of the Month - Jane:

  • The Center: What is most memorable to you about your time at the Center?
  • Jane: The most memorable thing about volunteering at the Center is seeing all the different people who walk through the door for whatever it is they are there for, be it a dance class or job club. It’s a reminder of how diverse and vibrant the community is.
  • The Center: Why should others volunteer with the Center?
  • Jane: The Center focuses on helping those who are underserved the most and I think that’s something we should all be invested in, especially those of us with time to help. I particularly like helping an organization that has a strong focus on economic justice, particularly for trans folks, and I helping an organization that provides resources geared to LGBTQ youth.
  • The Center: How has volunteering at the Center affected your life?
  • Jane: Volunteering at the Center has helped me connect to a much wider community here in the Bay Area and it has inspired me to get more involved in LGBTQ focused efforts in my workplace.
  • The Center: Thank you Jane for all of the work that you do and congratulations on a well deserved volunteer of the month!
