How To Fundraise for the Center on Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday is a national day of giving back to the community, and the SF LGBT Center needs YOUR support now more than ever to help power our joy-fueled programs for LGBTQ+ people! Help us build a stronger and healthier community by joining the Center’s #GivingTuesday fundraising efforts. 

Fundraising for the Center is as easy as one, two, three! Here’s how to host a successful Giving Tuesday fundraiser.

1. Start by going to www.sfcenter.org/gt2023 or text SFLGBT to 71777. Then click on Become a Fundraiser. Fill out the following form with your personal information to create your account. Please make sure the email address you input is the one you will be checking regularly to reach out to your donors and to receive notifications from the SF LGBT Center.

2. You can then set up your fundraising page by uploading your profile photo, choosing a goal amount, and personalizing your message to your supporters. You can tell a short story, talk about why this is an important cause to you, and thank your donors.

3. Check your email! You will receive an email with all your personal fundraising page information, including your own personal link and text-to-give code, so you can go ahead and send out your link, share on social media, and ask for donations from your contacts right away!

We recommend sharing your fundraiser ASAP once you have completed your page so that people can start donating and sharing your message while you have momentum. You will receive notifications when your page receives a donation, which is so exciting!
