March with SF LGBT Center at Pride 2023

About: We welcome you to join the SF LGBT Center parade contingent on Sunday, June 25 as we march in the San Francisco Pride Parade! This year, we have chosen the theme Unbreakable Pride. We are unbreakable—in our work to amplify queer artistry, reclaim our space through communal healing and celebration, and stand in solidarity with our sister organizations and collectives fighting anti-trans and anti-queer vitriol all over the country. They will not break us.
Assembly Time/Location: The Center is a registered contingent, and we will be notified of our contingent line up number in advance of the event. Until we know our line up number, we cannot know our exact meeting location and assembly time. Stay tuned to this Eventbrite page and to emails from the Center. Once we have more exact timing and location, we will update this page and send an email to everyone who RSVPs here on our Eventbrite page.
Center Pride Shirts: The first 100 people who sign up on Eventbrite will receive a t-shirt. T-shirts will be distributed at the Parade meeting point on Sunday. We cannot hold shirts for people who do not attend the march.
Accessibility: For marchers who have mobility/accessibility needs, the Center will be operating a vehicle that people can ride in during the parade. Seats are not guaranteed, but will be prioritized for those with accessibility needs. The Center will also provide snacks and water for our contingent members.
Volunteers: Our contingent will need a few volunteers to act as contingent/wheel monitors during the march. If you are interested in training to be a contingent monitor or wheel monitor for our vehicle, please contact Volunteer Coordinator Ezra Terman at [email protected]. This volunteer role requires staff approval and an online training video/quiz.
General Pride Information: SF Pride Parade takes place Sunday, June 25, 2023.The Parade begins at 10:30am at Beale and Market and ends at 8th and Market. The Center will be operating a vehicle for contingent members who need to be seated during the parade (space is limited and RSVP is required!).
Tips for marching with the Center at SF Pride: Arrive at the designated meeting area by the stated arrival time (both will be emailed to you a week prior)Bring water, but no glass bottles. Wear comfortable shoes! Wear/bring sunscreen and a jacket!
