About: The SF LGBT Center and Mukunda Studio are excited to invite you to build community and experience a dynamic collaboration! Mukunda Studio offers weekly Yoga classes, monthly community discussions and seasonal Well-being Fairs, all via livestream and in-person. The studio is also available to rent for fellow wellness leaders with special rates for our LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities. Our goal is to help nudge the topic of well-being for all by bringing education, resources and accessible experiences to the forefront.
The SF LGBT Center will showcase their Queer & Well and Queer Vibes at Mukunda Studio by welcoming Marc Morozumi, owner and director of Mukunda Studio to offer a chair Yoga class that will make Yoga accessible and fun. You’ll learn more about the benefits of Yoga and meditation followed by a beautifully intriguing and transportive music performance by a QV Aritst ! Join us for a refreshing afternoon at Mukunda Studio!

MARC BIO: Mukunda Marc Morozumi, E-RYT 500, CMT, Lead Yoga Teacher Trainer with Integral Yoga, began practicing Ashtanga yoga in 2001 while a full-time modern dancer with Joe Goode Performance Group in SF, CA. Due to injury, Mukunda retired from his 12 year dance career in 2004 and entered the events industry from 2004-2016. A 2-month personal trip to India in 2007 paved the way for landing in Yogaville in 2009 for his first teacher training with Swami Divyananda and staff. Mukunda has co-led Integral Yoga retreats since 2011 and has staffed or co-led Basic Teacher Trainings since 2013 including IYI’s first BIPOC Yoga Teacher Training in 2021 and Accessible Yoga’s first 200-hour training in 2023. He has opened and managed small group yoga studios in SF since 2017 and in early 2020, he opened and then reformed a studio post COVID-19: Mukunda Studio in SOMA, SF, CA.
Please note that Mukunda Studio is located on the 2nd floor of 1250 Folsom Street. This requires a single step into the building, followed by a full, 1-stair walk-up to enter Mukunda Studio. We have one, all-gender bathroom. We request shoes off at the door (shoe booties offered), and are an alcohol-free/substance-use-free space.
