Welcome to Voices With Impact 2024: Mental Health Film Premiere (US)!
Join us for the World Premiere of 10 new amazing films made through our Voices With Impact production grant. This in-person event will take place at the SF LGBT Center on Thu Jun 06 2024 at 6:30 PM PT.
What to expect:
10 short mental health films produced through the Voices With Impact film grant will be screened. They’ll inspire discussion between the filmmakers that made them, mental health advocates and our audience.
The event is focused on sharing the 10 amazing new films and lucky for you (and us) we’ll have the filmmakers in the room with us to discuss the films. The event is essentially a film screening with 2 amazing short programs and 2 interactive panels.
6.30pm
On arrival there will be chance to grab drinks and snacks and chat with other audience members.
7.00pm
We’ll screen 5 of the 10 films. After the screening we’ll chat to the filmmakers on a panel and find out what it took to make these films and the mental health stories behind them. We’ll give you chance to ask some questions!
8.00pm
We’ll take a break giving you chance to grab more drinks and snacks and chat to other audience members about the amazing films you’ve just seen. We know it can be hard to make connections so we’re making sure you have space to do so, if you’d like, you are of course welcome to chill out and do your thing before the second half!
8.30pm
We’ll screen the remaining 5 films, and again we’ll talk to the filmmakers after, finding out more about their process and their inspirations. You’ll have another chance to ask questions.
9.30pm
We’ll start to wind down, you’ll be able to grab more drinks and snacks and chill out a little before you make your way out into the evening. You can catch the filmmakers and tell them what you thought of their films or talk to other audience members about the second half.
