#HireTrans Campaign
The #HireTrans campaign was developed by the SF LGBT Center’s Trans Employment Program in 2016. The campaign featured people from across the spectrum of trans, queer, and gender non-conforming communities and their experiences with employment. The goal of the project was to increase trans visibility in the workplace and inspire employers to create a diverse and inclusive workforce. The campaign provided inspiration and served to recognize the talents and skills within our communities. It also acknowledged the obstacles we face in having these talents recognized.
The campaign featured printed posters, an online video slideshow, and could be seen on hundreds of San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency vehicles and stations, as well as in two BART stations.
